Karoti is a small and charming village with about 250 inhabitants. The village has two cafes and a tavern and a short and pleasant walk leads from the village to a sandy beach, spectacular in its beauty.
The town of Rethymno, about 15 km away, is the third largest city in Crete. A charming city with a winning combination of Venetian influences and Turkish influences. The narrow alleys create an almost mystical, and romantic atmosphere.
