Vision Omonia: How a 1950s building in Athens was transformed into a sophisticated hotel retreat

15/12/2025

At the intersection of Chalkokondyli and 3rd September streets, Vision Omonia is a typical example of modern urban revitalization, with Finders assuming full ownership, construction and supervision of a project that reinterprets the architectural character of a 1955 building.

The total reconstruction aimed to upgrade the historical shell through modern techniques and materials, responding to the requirements of a current tourist product. The hotel’s operation began in May 2024 and has been assigned to Vision – Hosts of Superior Living, a Finders company that exclusively manages its tourist properties.

From the early stages of the study, the ground floor was planned to be configured so that it could accommodate an independent high-standard catering unit. This affected both the vertical circulation and the E/M infrastructure, with enhanced services, special ventilation requirements and the ability to operate autonomously. In this context, Finders has entered into a strategic partnership with the Benedict chain, known for its all-day breakfast concept and with a presence in Berlin. The partnership ensures the company exclusivity for the operation of the first Benedict store in Athens, as well as the development of additional locations in the coming years. The inclusion of the international chain is part of a broader strategy to upgrade the urban experience in the area.
