19/06/2024

From Omonia, VISION Greece’s first project in the field of hospitality begins with the brand new VISION Omonia hotel, to be followed by other units in the center of Athens, while Crete follows in Rethymno and Chania.

The new “VISION Omonia” has been created on the site of an old building in the center of Athens and indeed in a “difficult” area such as the one at the junction of 36 Chalkokondili Street and 3rd of September and is, according to its staff, a “new modern hotel design combining art and hospitality”.

The new hotel in Omonia has 42 rooms and suites, with surfaces ranging from 26 to 60 square meters , also a roof terrace with an infinity pool and a panoramic view of the Acropolis, Omonoia Square and Lycabettus Hill, while additional services are the gym, the two meeting rooms, and Finder’s Real Estate Hub within the hotel.

Finders and Vision

VISION OMONOIA is part of the VISION | group Hosts of Superior Living owned by the Finders group, started ten years ago in 2014 with Israeli capital from Amir Mamou as a development company with the main activity of investing, buying and selling real estate either after renovation or in the existing condition. Finders currently manages 5 private funds having gradually “built” a respectable portfolio of properties in the center of Athens but also more peripherally.

Gradually from 2020 onwards the company decided to convert existing private properties into tourist accommodation, with the new VISION Omonia hotel being the first hotel of “what is to become a family of accommodation in the heart of the Greek capital, with upcoming new accommodation that will will soon open in the regions of Akadimia, Ermou, Gazi, Metaxourgeio , Exarchia and also in Crete”, as reported by its staff. For example, “Vision Gazi” will have 20 apartments in Gazi and “Vision Metaxourgeio” with 11 apartments in the area of Metaxourgeio .

Now, after a decade of presence in Greece, the next phase of the group’s presence includes two companies under joint management, Finders, which continues its activity in real estate and Vision -Hosts of Superior Living, which now begins its steps in the tourism industry. The activities of the two companies converge through the “Finders Real Estate Hub” service, which will offer interested buyers the full range of real estate services (one stop shop) , from property search-finding, technical and legal control, processing all purchase completion, renovation and property management processes.

Through the hospitality model proposed by VISION, according to its staff, it aspires to cover the market between hotels and short-term rental apartments by combining e.g. the comfort of an apartment, with rooms from 23 to 57 sq.m. and the services of a hotel, e.g. cleaning, toiletries, concierge services, etc.

VISION Omonia

For VISION Omonia in particular, the aim is “to honor the multicultural character of Omonia by ensuring that it is not just a place for hospitality but also a hub of creativity, with an emphasis on art and artistic expression ” since it also offers an original collection of works of art curated by Mr. Kriton, turning the hotel into a living gallery, the 7×7. Each of the hotel’s seven floors is dedicated to an artist.

This concept, called “Art Room Service” ensures that each room has an exclusive piece of art , allowing guests to connect deeply with the authentic art of Greek artists. Each piece of art is available for purchase, offering visitors the chance to take a piece of their Athenian experience home with them.

The VISION APP also facilitates guests at every step of their stay, enabling them to contact reception directly to request anything from a wake-up call to an excursion via their mobile. From September, the hotel will also host the new “BENEDICTS” catering concept, which is entering Greece for the first time through VISION OMONIA.
